May the 4th Clean Up corner Manse St & SH1
Saturday 4th May 9am – 11am
May the 4th be with us as we cleanup this location again and tackle as few invasive plants as well.
We will spread out from the pull in area on the corner of Manse Street and State Highway 1 and clear what rubbish we find on the roadsides, down banks and potentially in the stream.

When: 9am till 11am
Parking: Space in pull in areaArea: Bank, roadsides, streamWe will supply: gloves, buckets, bags, highvis, sanitizer, sunblock, first aid and water.You need to bring: clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy shoes and motivation.
May Repair Cafe
Saturday 18th May 1.30pm – 4pm
Reyburn House Studio, 31 Reyburn House Lane, Town Basin, Whangārei
At our monthly events volunteers donate their time to help you repair your items.
If you know the specific part needed to repair your item, we ask that you bring it along. Please ensure you bring all the parts (plugs etc) and clean out crumbs and empty water before bringing your items in.
There will be wonderful flat whites and baking to help fund the venue hire.
We’re happy to help you learn how to repair. We are not repair professionals, Repair Cafes are a community self-repair space. Attending means that you take responsibility for your own item.
Repair skills available this month will be confirmed closer to the event.
We welcome new volunteers, what ever your skills we can use your help. Welcome and sign people in, bake, repair, take photos, make signs and more.
